Every year there are also several international projects taking place in our school. In previous years our students have, for example, made study trips to Barcelona, London, Stockholm, St. Petersburg, Liege and Berlin. Furthermore, we build the students’ future by using the most modern technology available and by offering a wide variety of courses; for example, for those interested in business, there is a complete business entrepreneurship course, which comprises modules in business knowledge, mathematical economics, business English and a field course in entrepreneurship.
Due to its considerable size, there are a lot of options available for the student at Jylla. It is easy to choose your own courses from the impressive selection and create a study plan to fit your individual needs and goals. It is also possible to combine top-class sports with upper secondary school studies thanks to the extensive range of courses. In natural sciences Jylla offers excellent courses which prepare the students for the matriculation examination and further studies. These include revision courses and applied (elective) courses, during which state-of-the-art laboratory equipment is used. In physics there is the CERN project. One of the highlights of this project is the study trip to Switzerland where the students visit the European Organization for Nuclear Research. The students also pay a visit to the University of Helsinki where they get a glimpse into the world of academic research.
A modern school building
In Jylla students study in a school building which has just been renovated. The guiding principle in the design of the school premises has been to create a pleasant and stimulating atmosphere to study in. The new Jylla is a modern building with excellent facilities.
